Donmouth

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday the weather was kind of what I remembered, a bit cloudy, a bit rainy but not too cold to prevent us from exploring the city.
So yesterday I showed one of my fav places to Maxim: Seaton park and Donmouth Nature Reserve.

This is the Seaton park. When I lived in Hillhead (student village) in my first year, my route to uni was through this park. I thought the park itself just this 2 roads, but later I learnt that this park is much bigger than it looks like, and has hidden gems (later.)

The park was a bit refurbished last summer because storms broke down some trees.
This spot is one of those areas. They managed to make it nice ^^.

This is one side of the park, and right after the trees, there is the River Don.

This`s already the Donmouth Nature Reserve.

River Don #4

There were deer here 3 years ago, maybe they still are just too shy to show themselves..

River Don #5

There is low water now, this area normally is under water.
Surely it is a nice walk here despite the mud. BTW we are just 1 or 2 miles apart from the sea.

River Don #6

The whole area is like this, like a little (and cold) jungle.
The pictures below were took from Brig o`Balgownie.

Here, there are mostly cottage houses which give the area a bit of rural impression.

..And that`s why they say the national animal of Scotland is Unicorn..

(The bridge is Brig o` Balgownie, and there is a sign on it which warns you to the low water, and does not recommend jumping off the bridge, because that could cause serious injuries..)

On the road forward, we saw common seals resting on the riverbank.

Soon we are approaching the river mouth..

The route from Bridge of Don to the river mouth looked like this..

..and this.

All just sand and water. Again, here usually there is higher water than this.

And the river mouth. :)

We walked approx. 2.4 miles in roughly 2 hours, and looked everything we possibly can. :D

And a map (location of Seaton park and Donmouth Nature Reserve)
